After all the essay writing, thinking, planning, trying to find a job, I finally got some writing time on my hands. This is both in the sense of writing music and being able to write something in this blog. As for the guitar writing, I finally borrowed my brothers Goiden and well…I spent the last 3 hours jamming away, writing and another road block has popped up.
Despite the successful writing session my USB interface and Cubase refuse to co-operate, so I am forced to write everything down. This means working on a song old school style with my guitar, amp and effect pedals. This isn’t the first time this has happened. I don’t think I have ever sat down to write a full song. Usually it’s writing riffs down and leaving them along and I know as soon as I get everything hooked up Im going to have a lot of recording to get done.
What makes it worse is with all these great ideas flowing around in my head I actually am beginning to think that after I overcome this hurdle something good might actually come of my music (yeah…right). Seriously this is driving me insane, Im hearing the bass and drums (some synth with other songs) in the background while I strum out the riffs and I can’t find anyone to jam with.
I guess there are two necessary steps (maybe three) for the next couple of weeks. Start recording more material, find musicians to jam with and hangout at the school radio station to meet people interested in music. It’s funny, how there are things your were meant to be doing in life. I have never felt this good in a long time.
Cheers

Here are some Irish proverbs to say with your friends and family before you raise your pint tonight. Cheers!
May God bring good health to your enemies enemies
There are many good reasons for drinking,
One has just entered my head,
If a man doesn’t drink when he’s living,
How the hell can he drink when he’s dead?
Here’s to you,
here’s to me,
the best of friends we’ll always be.
But if we ever disagree,
forget you here’s to ME!!
Health, and long life to you
Land without rent to you
The partner of your heart to you
and when you die, may your bones rest in Ireland!
I’ve drunk to your health in the pubs ,
I’ve drunk to your health in my home ,
I’ve drunk to your health so many times ,
That I’ve almost ruined my own.
May you have warm words on a cold evening,
A full moon on a dark night,
And the road downhill all the way to your door.
All the best and Happy St. Patricks Day

First entry in how long? Im guessing just over three weeks. Yeah I really haven’t figured out what I’m going to do with this blog. The whole joke thing isn’t working that well, I’d like to find a hobby and maybe focus on writing about it on the blog. I’m trying to get back into writing music, but I seem to find myself all over the place these days, so for now I’ll just leave a joke here for everyone. Enjoy
Little Johnny Learns A Lesson
At school Little Johnny was told by a classmate that most adults are hiding at least one dark secret, and that this makes it very easy to blackmail them by saying, “I know the whole truth.”Little Johnny decides to go home and try it out. He goes home, and as he is greeted by his mother he says, “I know the whole truth.” His mother quickly hands him 20 dollars and says, “Just don’t tell your father.”Quite pleased, the boy waits for his father to get home from work, and greets him with, “I know the whole truth.” The father promptly hands him 40 dollars and says, “Please don’t say a word to your mother.”
Very pleased, the boy is on his way to school the next day when he sees the mailman at his front door. The boy greets him by saying, “I know the whole truth.” The mailman immediately drops the mail, opens his arms, and says, “Then come give your daddy a great big hug!”

Well, I haven’t touched this blog for the week. As of now Im trying to figure out what I can use this blog for, something specific. I noticed that a lot of people use their blogs for sharing stories, and well in my life there really isn’t anything exciting. Thats what happens when your stuck in school. I look forward to the day when I graduate and am off to Europe. Right now that idea has to wait and Ill try and figure something out over reading week.
Enough blabbing, here is the joke of the week. I thought it was pretty funny, how the husband leaves the wife to fend for herself. Here you go…
Mistaken Identity
A husband and a wife were going to a costume party. He was dressed as a bull and she was a heifer. On the way to the party, their car ran out of gas. As they were walking to the gas station, they decided to take a shortcut through a field. All of a sudden a bull came charging up.
“Oh no,” cried the wife. “What are we going to do?”
“Well honey,” replied the husband, “I’m going to bend over and act like I’m grazing. I suggest you brace yourself.”
